The Project Narishakti Green Way, is specifically designed for rural women to enhance their skills and improve the alternative livelihoods. Under this initiative we are aiming to Improve climate-resilient livelihoods of 20520 rural women through enhancing their resilience to climate challenges and elevating livelihoods by fostering financial inclusion, skill development, entrepreneurship, and employment creation via MGNREGA, access natural resources by rejuvenating lakes and water harvesting and federating them under common platform in Uttara Kannada, Haveri and Dharwad Districts of Karnataka by 2027.
This project involves different stakeholders in project implementation.
1. Local banks and authorized financial institutions will be involved in affordable credit linkages to the women groups.
2. This project ensures the participation of entrepreneurship development institutes like R-SETI, Agriculture Science Centers, Polytechnics and Universities for training and capacity building of the rural poor women in entrepreneurship and financial inclusion.
3. Local government departments will be involved in linking government schemes to the SHG (Self Help Groups) members.
4. Health camps and Legal awareness programmes will be conducted with the involvement of local magistrates and medical associations.
This project focuses on the economic and social upliftment of women. Rural women are the main beneficiaries of the project. At least 19190 women members will be benefited from this project. This project focuses on young women under skill development training. Along with women, more than 1230 small farmers will get the benefit of another program of MANUVIKASA like tank development and agriculture initiatives. More than 200 poor school children will benefit through scholarship programs and necessary materials. Tribal women, women below the poverty line, small and marginal farmers, and unemployed and seasonal employed community members will be given priority.
